Our Music Therapists
My name is Crystal Black. I am a board-certified music therapist working with individuals with disabilities and senior adults with dementia. I have completed a study on music therapy’s effects on engagement in adults with dementia. I graduated from Stetson Univ. with a BA of Music Education and a minor in Speech and Theater, from the Univ. of Conn. with a MA of Music Degree in Voice Performance. I attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary studying church music and pastoral counseling. Music therapy training was done at IUPUI. Professional experience includes music performance, teaching music at Martin Univ. and as a church musician for 3 different denominations. I am married to a bright, caring man. I have 2 teenaged girls, 4 furry and 2 winged children.
My name is Diane. I have a degree in Music Education from Ball State University, a degree in Music Therapy from IPFW and a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from Ball state University. I have been a music therapist since 2001 and previously worked at the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center until it closed in 2007. While employed at FWSDC, I supervised music therapy interns for 4 years and assisted in developing programs. I also taught Intro to Music Therapy at IPFW for several years. I’ve been working with Medicaid Waiver consumers since 2007. In addition, I have also presented at regional and national music therapy conferences. I currently live in Fishers, IN with my two betta fish, Woody and Buzz.
My name is Holli Leslie. I am a newly board certified music therapist and have been practicing since January of 2018. I attended Indiana Wesleyan University for my degree. I serve Grant, Howard, Madison, Henry, and Hamilton Counties. I am classically trained on the piano, but I also play the guitar and do composing/ producing on the side for fun.
I am a Masters prepared, Board Certified Music Therapist who practices in the Indianapolis area. I am trained in Neonatal Intensive Care Music Therapy (NICU MT) and Neurological Music Therapy (NMT Fellow). I am experienced in both individual and group music therapy techniques. In addition to contracting music therapy services through Positive Pathways I am founder of Creative Pathways Indy, Assistant Professor of Music Therapy and Director of the Music Therapy Program at UIndy and a member of the AMTA Ethics Board.
My name is Rachel Williams. I am a Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC), Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT). I have a Bachelors of Music from Indiana State University and a Music Therapy Equivalency from IUPUI. I have a passion for helping people live their best lives using music as my tool for success. I service Hancock and Shelby counties.
